Ruth Goldstein is a writer and community advocate who is retired from a 30-year career as a registered nurse. As an essayist, her published work has appeared on the Baltimore Sun’s editorial pages since 1996. A practicing vegetarian since she was a college student, Ruth has been inventing recipes and writing about food for more than thirty years.
Ruth studied creative writing and journalism at Carnegie-Mellon University and New York University, and creative nonfiction at Johns Hopkins University.
She is the mother of one exceptional daughter and a lifelong resident of Pikesville, MD.
